1. Booking and Payment
Booking policy:
A reservation is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit of the 50% of the total amount non-refundable in any circumstances.
Balance:
The remaining balance must be paid at the property before departure. Payments in cash and by card are accepted; however, the POS signal may be unstable. The deposit will be deducted from the final bill at the end of the stay.
2. Cancellation and No-Show Policy, terms and penalties:
Due to seasonality and limited capacity, the deposit is non-refundable in any circumstances and the following conditions apply: - With at least 5 days notice the deposit is retained but can be reused for another stay within the same summer season. - - In case of cancellation after the 5th day before arrival or no show the deposit cannot be reused for another stay
Weather:
Reservations remain valid in case of bad weather, unless otherwise communicated by the competent authorities declaring access trails unsafe.
3. Children in Mountain Huts
Children aged betwin 0 and 4 years have to sleep with parents in exclusive used rooms.
4. Refuge Rules (Mountain Living)
Check-in:
Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In case of late arrival, prior notice is required.
Meals and room check-out:
Dinner is served at 7:00 PM and at 9:30 bar/restaurant closes, while breakfast is available from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM. In case it is necessary to anticipate the breakfast time, please contact the staff.
Rooms must be vacated by 9:00 AM.
Packed lunches must be booked at the time of reservation or by the evening before the stay. Last-minute availability is not guaranteed and depends on the organization of the property.
Any dietary requirements must be communicated at the time of booking and confirmed at check-in. Changes to the menu cannot be guaranteed if requested directly at dinner time.
Sleeping bag liner:
For hygiene reasons, the use of a sleeping bag liner is mandatory . It can be rented on site for €4. Towels can be rented on site for €4 each.
Slippers: It's recommended to bring your own slippers; they're available at the refuge, but availability in all sizes is not guaranteed.
Sauna: Available for exclusive use upon reservation at a cost of €15 per person (we start the sauna with a minimum fee of €45), which also includes use of the hay relaxation area and, weather permitting, use of the Dutchtub.
Quiet hours:
Silence is required after 10:00 PM to ensure rest for all guests.
Water and energy:
Water and electricity are limited resources in the mountains. Guests are kindly asked to use them responsibly (short showers, charging devices only when necessary).
5. Pets
Animals:
Pets are allowed if an entire room is booked, but due to the limited space available, they are not permitted in StarsBOX.
Pets are allowed in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner. They cannot be left alone in the room and must be kept on a leash at all times.
6. Liability and Safety
Personal belongings:
The refuge is not responsible for lost, forgotten, or unattended items in common areas.
Access:
Each hiker is responsible for assessing their physical condition and equipment required to reach the refuge. Management declines any responsibility for accidents or injuries along access trails.
7. Data Protection (Privacy)
Personal data provided during booking will be processed exclusively for stay management and legal obligations, in compliance with GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679).
